The Experience

You're walking slowly around a lounge, taking your time, turning in a full circle. The light pours through three storeys of reinforced glass, and below you the entire Macau Peninsula spreads out — Taipa on one side, Coloane on another, and across the water the skyline of Zhuhai and Hengqin rising up in the distance. That's the Macau Tower observation deck at 223 metres, and there's no schedule, no guide telling you where to look next. You move at your own pace, and the view doesn't change — it just keeps opening up as you walk.

The Pearl River Delta skyline is the thing that catches most people off guard. It's not static. Hengqin and Zhuhai are expanding constantly, and from up here you see the scale of it — cranes, new towers, the whole region building itself in real time.
