The experience

The tour starts with an 8am pickup from your centrally located Guangzhou hotel. A two-hour drive takes you north to Gulong Canyon in Qingyuan, where the day splits between two main sites. At Gulong Canyon itself, you walk up a path alongside the Nine-waterfall cascade, then step onto the Glass Walkway (520 meters) and Glass Bridge (329 meters) to view the canyon floor through your feet. The Glass UFO Platform comes next: a circular observation deck suspended 72 meters in the air, ranked the world's longest suspension span of its kind, where you look down at the waterfall dropping from the mountain into the gorge below.

After an hour's drive to Yingxi Peak Corridor, you enter Cave Fairland, a natural cavern carved into the karst landscape. You walk through the cave passages, then board a small boat that carries you along the underground river back to the entrance. The route back to Guangzhou takes another hour, with drop-off at your hotel concluding the tour in the late afternoon or early evening.

Your local guide speaks English and leads the whole day. Lunch is a Chinese meal provided during the tour. Bottled water is included throughout. If you choose the transfer-only option instead, the driver speaks Chinese only, and you arrange your own guide, meals and entrance fees at each site.
