The experience

The day starts at 8am when your guide picks you up from your Guangzhou hotel and drives 1.5 hours to Gulong Canyon in Qingyuan. Once there, you walk a path uphill past nine waterfalls that cascade from the peak into a pool below. Then comes the glass: you step onto the 520-meter glass walkway, cross the 329-meter glass bridge, and finish on the Glass UFO Platform. A 202-meter section suspended 72 meters in the air. From that platform you look straight down through the glass at the waterfall and canyon floor. The platform holds the world record for suspension span in its category.

After an hour back in the car, you arrive at Jiulong Town in the Yingxi Peak Corridor, a valley carved between karst hills. The town sits beside a lake and paddy fields. You walk through the trees to view the mountains that rise around it. Lunch is included during the day. Your guide then drives you back to your Guangzhou hotel, where the tour ends: a full day that covers roughly 70 kilometers of ground and two distinct landscapes.
