The Experience

Your driver picks you up from your hotel at 9:00am and heads to Reed Flute Cave, 5 km northwest of Guilin's center. The cave stretches 500 meters long and 240 meters deep, filled with stalagmites, stalactites and stone pillars that have been forming for 180 million years. You walk through the cave with your guide, who explains the formations and the local name for it—the Palace of Natural Art.

After the cave, you transfer to Yangshuo to climb Xianggong Hill, which sits on the west bank of the Lijiang River. From the top, you look out over the river winding through the peaks—the view is why photographers come here. Then you head to Xingping for lunch and board a small boat for a 50-minute cruise on the Li River, passing Nine-Horse Mural Hill before returning to the pier. You spend the afternoon exploring Yangshuo's West Street, a walking street lined with shops and cafes.

At 18:30, your guide meets you on West Street and takes you to the Liusanjie show, a 70-minute performance staged on the Li River. After the show ends, you're transferred back to your hotel in Guilin or Yangshuo around 22:30. The entire day is arranged—your guide handles the timing and logistics, so you move from one stop to the next without planning the route or managing the transitions yourself.
