Locals call them "the champion of the terrace world" for the scale of the work and the ethnic cultures that still farm them. You can stop here to walk the terraces and eat a simple lunch (rice noodles are the local choice), or skip the stop entirely if you want to reach Guilin faster.

From Longji Terraces, it's another 90 minutes by car to Guilin or Yangshuo. You arrive in the Guilin area around 5:30pm. The driver will drop you at any hotel or address you choose in Guilin city center, Yangshuo, or the Longji area itself if you prefer to stay near the terraces. The car is air-conditioned for the full journey, and the driver will attempt to speak English. If language becomes an issue, you can use a phone translation app to communicate.
