The experience
The day starts 35 minutes from the office, where certified guides meet you with the boat and all river gear. After a safety briefing, you paddle the Azul river first. A section that lets you find your rhythm with the paddling team and the boat while the Cerro Tres Monjas rises above the water. This warm-up builds confidence before you hit the Terminator, one full kilometre of continuous Class V white water that is the river's signature rapid.
A riverside snack breaks the intensity, then you run the Bridge to Bridge section, paddling all the rapids until the end of the day. The take-out lands on a peaceful river beach where lunch is waiting. The full day runs seven hours on the water, and you return to the office with all the gear handled by the guides.

Is this one for you?You paddle the boat yourself, not watch from a seat, so this suits anyone who wants to be in the rapids rather than observe them. The full seven-hour day and Class V difficulty mean it is built for paddlers with moderate fitness and the stamina to spend a morning and afternoon on the water. If you prefer a shorter or easier float, look for a half-day or beginner option instead.
