The experience

The journey starts on Route 225 and departs from Port of Petrohué, where you board for the crossing of Lake Todos los Santos. The sail itself takes almost two hours, moving through turquoise water surrounded by native forests and the three volcanoes that frame the lake: Osorno, Puntiagudo and Tronador. The route is fixed and the pace steady, so you spend the crossing watching the landscape rather than navigating it yourself.

Villa Peulla, a small ecological village on the far shore, is where the boat arrives. The 10-hour total includes the drive to Petrohué, the sail, time at the village and the return journey. Once you reach Villa Peulla, the tour itself ends, but the site offers ecotourism activities you can add on the spot (hiking trips, the El Encanto excursion and seasonal options), each booked and paid separately. Lunch is not included in the base tour.

You choose your departure point at checkout: from the Puerto Varas office, from Puerto Monttt, or from a hotel in Puerto Varas. A live guide in English or Spanish travels with the group.
