The experience

You'll start with an induction on the water before paddling one of two routes, both beginning from the same launch point. The choice is yours: the wetland river crossings, where you move quietly enough to spot the species that live there, or the return loop to Haverbeck Island. Your guide, who knows the local flora and fauna, will be with you the whole way and can adjust the pace and stops to match the group.

The board (SUP or kayak, whichever you choose) comes with a life jacket, a waterproof bag for your phone, and everything else you need. Private transportation picks you up from your hotel and brings you back. A snack is included partway through, and the guide will photograph the day so you have the shots without holding a camera the whole time.

The three-hour window gives you time on the water without eating the whole afternoon. The quiet paddle is what makes the bird-spotting possible. You're not moving fast or making noise, so the wildlife stays visible instead of scattering.

Is this one for you?Choose the wetland route if you want the best chance of spotting birds. Pick the Haverbeck Island loop if you prefer a longer paddle with a landmark to aim for. The private setup means the guide can shift the route or pace to match your group, so you're not locked into a fixed itinerary.
