Enter the water as a diver, not a spectator

A beginner diving experience on Sal where you descend into the reefs with a dive instructor, operate your own equipment in a natural setting, and explore the marine life around the island. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included. The dive depth adjusts to your comfort level. Children from age 10 are welcome. Swimmers should have at least moderate fitness.

The experience

What separates this from watching fish in a tank or snorkeling from the surface is that you're the one breathing underwater, controlling your descent, and moving through the reef on your own terms. The dive instructor stays with you the entire time, managing the depth and pace to match your comfort. You're not following a group or keeping up with experienced divers. The reefs around Sal hold enough marine life that you'll have something to look at the moment you go under, and the three-hour block gives you time to get picked up from your hotel, reach the dive site, suit up, and spend real time below rather than a rushed fifteen minutes.

You don't need certification or prior diving experience to book this. The instructor handles the technical setup. You learn to equalize pressure in your ears, control your breathing, and move through the water as you go. All scuba equipment (tank, wetsuit, mask, fins, buoyancy control device) comes with the booking. The dive happens in a natural environment at depths suited to what you're ready for, which means the first-time diver and someone with a few dives under their belt can both book the same activity and have it calibrated to them.

What’s included

  • Hotel pickup and drop-off.
  • a certified dive instructor who stays with you throughout.
  • all scuba equipment including tank, wetsuit, mask, fins and buoyancy control device.
  • three hours for the full experience from pickup to return.

Is this one for you?The three-hour window means you can dive in the morning and still have the afternoon free, or book an afternoon slot and keep your morning open. If you want a longer immersion or multiple dives, this single-dive format won't give you that. If you're looking to fit diving into one part of your day without committing the whole day, this is built for it.
