The experience
Fifty minutes in the air covers terrain that would take days to reach on foot. The plane departs from Squamish and climbs into Garibaldi Provincial Park, where your pilot narrates the geology and geography unfolding below. You'll fly past the instantly recognizable Black Tusk, then deeper into the park to the boundary layer where ancient glacial flows meet volcanic rock: the collision that forged these mountains hundreds of millions of years ago. The Chief, Stawamus Chief Provincial Park's massive granite face, appears from an angle most climbers never see.
Headsets built into your seat let you hear the pilot's live commentary over the engine noise, and all taxes and fees are included in the price. The tour runs subject to favorable weather. If conditions ground the flight, you can book an alternative date. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and infants sit on a guardian's lap at no extra charge. All passenger weights need to be provided in pounds at booking so the aircraft can be properly balanced.
