The Experience
You have a few hours in Victoria and want to see the landmarks without spending the afternoon planning. The tour hits ten stops across the city—starting at the Mile Zero marker for Canada's longest highway, then moving through Beacon Hill Park to see the 127-foot totem pole carved from a single cedar tree. From there you'll drive past the Government House, walk the grounds of Craigdarroch Castle, and pass through Victoria's Chinatown, the oldest in Canada and second oldest in North America after San Francisco. A stop at Fan Tan Alley, the narrowest commercial street in North America, sits tucked inside the same neighborhood.
The second half of the route takes you to the Fairmont Empress overlooking Victoria Harbour, then to the Inner Harbour itself—the city's most recognized waterfront—and a photo stop at the British Columbia Parliament Buildings with their detailed historic architecture. The tour ends at Fisherman's Wharf, where colorful floating homes line the water. Your guide narrates throughout, and you get out at each location to photograph it. The vehicle is air-conditioned and comes with bottled water.
If you want to spend an extra thirty minutes at one stop or skip a location entirely to add something else, you can make that choice on the morning of the tour. The route adapts to what matters to you. Wheelchair-accessible vehicles are available, and specialized infant seats can be arranged if you're traveling with small children.
What’s included
- Private transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle.
- a live guide providing narrated commentary throughout.
- bottled water.
