Step-by-step itinerary

Vancouver city trolley sightseeing tour

  • Stop at Brockton Point to see totem poles
  • Visit Prospect Point and enjoy ice cream
  • Explore Granville Island and Public Market
  • Tour Gastown's cobblestone streets and landmarks
  • Drive through English Bay and enjoy views
  • Pass by Yaletown's waterfront and shops
  • Pass through Chinatown and learn history
  • Pass by BC Place and Rogers Arena

The Experience

The trolley picks you up and moves through Vancouver's neighborhoods on a fixed route. You'll start at Brockton Point in Stanley Park to see the totem poles—intricately carved monuments tied to the region's Indigenous heritage—then roll to Prospect Point, the highest spot in the park, where you can buy handcrafted ice cream and look out over the water toward the Lions Gate Bridge. From there the tour heads to Granville Island, where you get time to walk through the Public Market and browse the artisan shops along the False Creek waterfront.

The second half moves into the city proper. Gastown's cobblestone streets and heritage buildings come next, followed by passes through English Bay, Yaletown (a former railway terminus now lined with red-brick warehouses and cafés), and Vancouver's Chinatown, which dates back to the late 19th century gold rush. You'll also cruise past BC Place and Rogers Arena, home to the Canucks. A live guide narrates the whole route in English, pointing out the history and character of each neighborhood as the trolley moves through.

The tour runs four and a half hours total. It includes the trolley ride, the guide, a brochure with a map of the route, fuel surcharge and parking fees. You can add airport drop-off at YVR or bag storage depending on which option you book at checkout. Infants sit on an adult's lap; strollers and service animals are both fine. No special fitness level is required.
