The experience

The tour departs from a meeting point in the Discovery Islands region and travels through the Tidal Rapids and fjords looking for whatever wildlife is moving through the waterways that day. Humpback whales, orca whales, black bears, Pacific white-sided dolphins, Dall's porpoise, Steller sea lions, harbour seals, marine birds and bald eagles all pass through these waters, but what you see depends on the season and the animals' migration patterns: no two tours are the same.

Your accredited guide and naturalist has years of local experience in these waters and knows where to position the boat for the best sightings. Floater suits, goggles, gloves and beanies are provided, so you stay warm and dry. Organic coffee, tea, hot chocolate and snacks keep you comfortable through the 4 hours on the water. The operator is a small, locally-owned business and runs carbon-neutral tours.
