Step-by-step itinerary
Explore Wildlife Gallery Exhibits
- Receive species identification pamphlet
- View over 60 animal displays
- Ask staff questions about exhibits
The experience
Two taxidermist brothers, Greg and Dean Robertson, built this gallery around a single idea: each animal tells a story. The displays don't line up like a specimen collection. Instead, they try to catch something real (a playful moment, a natural behavior, the weight of survival), so you're not just looking at a mounted animal but at a frozen instant from the North. Some displays bring out emotion. Others leave you in awe of how the creature actually moves and lives.
You move through at whatever pace works for you. A pamphlet in your chosen language identifies all 60+ species and explains what you're seeing. If a display raises a question or you want to know more about an animal's habitat or behavior, staff are there to talk. There's no schedule to keep, no group to stay with, no guide narration you have to follow. Just you, the animals, and as much time as you want to stand in front of each one.
The whole visit runs between 30 minutes and two hours depending on how long you linger. Parking is free. Strollers and prams work fine if you're traveling with infants or small children, and service animals are welcome.
