The experience
The boat launches from Lake Revelstoke, Three Valley Lake, or Upper Arrow Lake depending on water conditions and group size: the operator chooses between two different boat sizes to match the group and the day's conditions. You'll spend the morning and afternoon learning specific techniques: fly-casting along shorelines, trolling, strike indicator or float fishing, and vertical jigging. The guide provides detailed instruction on each method and shares knowledge of the surrounding terrain, the mountains by name and elevation, local wildlife, and the area's history as you fish.
Lunch happens on the shore as part of the eight-hour day, catered and included. The operator supplies all fishing equipment and tackle you'll need. The only thing you arrange separately is transport to and from the boat launch (maps are linked on their website for each launch location). A fishing license is not included and must be obtained on your own. By the end of the day you leave with photos and videos the guide has taken, along with the angling stories and techniques you've learned.
