The Experience
Meet your guide outside Casino Niagara on Falls Avenue—arrive 15 minutes early, as the tour leaves on time. From there, it's an easy 500-meter walk along the Niagara Parkway, mostly paved sidewalks with some natural park paths. You'll pass through Oakes Garden Theatre, where a curved pergola and Japanese-style garden with a lily pond sit built into the landscape, then continue along the river with views of the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Horseshoe Falls. Your guide shares the history and stories of the area as you go, ending at Table Rock Welcome Centre for close-up photos of Horseshoe Falls.
From Table Rock, you walk to Niagara City Cruises and board the Voyage to the Falls boat. The cruise sails right to the base of Horseshoe Falls—close enough to feel the mist and hear the water roar. You'll see all three falls from the water, and the operator provides rain ponchos so you stay dry enough to enjoy it. The boat ride is the final stop; the tour ends when you return to the dock.
Three options let you shape the experience: walking tour only, walking tour plus the boat cruise, or the special fireworks walk and cruise departing at 8:45 PM on weekends. The fireworks option follows the same parkway route but adds the evening light show over the falls before you board the boat. The boat cruise runs seasonally from May through October.
