The experience

"How long does the gondola ride take?" someone always asks on the drive up from Calgary or Canmore, and the answer is simple: about fifteen minutes to the summit of Sulphur Mountain. But those fifteen minutes change the day. You step out at the top of the Banff Gondola into panoramic views of the Bow Valley and the peaks beyond, and suddenly the whole park spreads out below you.
