Halifax City Scavenger Hunt: 3 Quests with Remote Guide
Hunt riddles through Halifax while a remote guide keeps you on track
The 3Quest Challenge is a self-guided scavenger hunt app experience in Halifax where you walk the city solving riddle-based clues and completing challenges divided into three sequential quests. A remote host watches along and chats if you need help. You collect points for each item found and challenge completed, compare your score on the app's leaderboard against other teams across the country, and can set a 2-hour time limit to intensify the game.
The Experience
Download the 3Quest Challenge app and you get a list of objects hidden around Halifax, each one presented as a riddle. Your job is to walk the city, decode the clues, find the items, and complete the challenges tied to them. Every find and every challenge earns you points that stack up as you move through the game. The three quests have to be done in order, so you finish the first one before moving to the second, then the third — that structure is what keeps the game from scattering into a free-for-all.
You're not wandering alone. A remote host is following your progress on the app and available to chat if you get stuck on a riddle or need a nudge toward the next location. The leaderboard tracks how your team stacks up against other players across the country, so there's a competitive element if you want one. Set yourself a 2-hour time limit to make the hunt more intense, though you can keep playing longer if you're on a roll — the timer is optional, not a hard stop.
The app handles the navigation and scoring; you handle the legwork and the thinking. Public transportation options are nearby if you need them, and the hunt works for all fitness levels since you're setting your own pace and choosing which riddles to chase down.

Is this one for you? This is a self-guided hunt where you walk and solve riddles on your own pace with app support, so it suits teams who want to explore Halifax independently while having a remote guide available if they get stuck. If you prefer a live guide walking with you and narrating the stops, a traditional walking tour would be a better fit.
