The Experience
The boat is a 45-foot Beneteau Oceanis—a proper sailing vessel, not a tour catamaran—and the captain and deckhand stay on deck with you throughout the hour. They share Halifax's history and present-day facts as the boat moves through the harbour: the 1917 Explosion, the Titanic connection, Pier 21 where immigrants arrived, and the working Canadian Navy Dockyard. The tour is lighthearted and focused on stories and sightseeing rather than technical sailing.
