The experience

You start in Toronto and travel east through Eastern Canada's most visited cities, moving between them by coach with a professional driver-guide who speaks English. The route covers roughly 1,864 islands in the Thousand Islands (an optional 75-minute yacht cruise passes the most famous ones), the French-speaking neighborhoods of Montreal, the European-style architecture of Old Quebec with its cobblestone streets and Château Frontenac, and the natural power of Niagara Falls. The itinerary includes four nights in hotels, gratuities for the driver and guide, and fuel. You can pick which end of the trip suits your schedule: start with Montreal and Quebec before finishing in Niagara, or reverse it and see Niagara on day one.

The mandatory experiences anchor each day: a 2.5-hour Toronto Movie & TV tour covering the University of Toronto (where The Hulk was filmed), City Hall, and Yonge Street; a one-hour Old Quebec City tour through Place d'Armes and past the Notre-Dame Basilica; a two-hour Niagara in-depth tour that includes the Niagara Hydroelectric Station, Whirlpool State Park, the Floral Clock, and the Victorian town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Montmorency Falls and its cable car are included. Everything else: the Thousand Islands cruise, the Voyage to the Falls boat tour (or Skylon Tower if the boat is closed), Journey Behind the Falls, the CN Tower, a Toronto harbor cruise, optional city tours in Montreal and Ottawa, and French dinners. You add at checkout depending on which price option you choose.

Each day involves walking through neighborhoods and along streets. Comfortable shoes matter. Luggage is limited to one piece per person (roughly a 26-inch suitcase). The tour operator reserves the right to swap closed attractions for alternatives and to adjust timing based on weather or traffic. If you need to leave early, you sign a departure form with the guide. Unused portions don't get refunded.

Is this one for you?Choose the itinerary sequence that fits your arrival and departure: if you fly in and want to ease into the trip with Toronto first, pick Plan A (Montreal and Quebec mid-tour). If you'd rather see Niagara's power early and save city walking for later, Plan B puts it on day one. Either way, you travel with a small group and a single guide for five days, so you're not switching drivers or reorienting each morning.

Can I choose which day I visit Niagara Falls, or is the order fixed?

You pick one of two itinerary sequences at checkout. Plan A runs Montreal and Quebec first (days 1–3), then Toronto (day 4), then Niagara (day 5). The Thousand Islands cruise is optional. If you select a "Tour w/admissions" price option at checkout, the 75-minute yacht cruise is included. If you pick "Tour Only," you skip it. The cruise passes the most famous scenic spots among the 1,864 islands on the St. Lawrence River.

What happens if Niagara Falls boat tours are closed when I travel?
