The tuktuk picks you up from your hotel in central Phnom Penh while the city is still waking. Your guide—someone who actually lives here and knows which stalls have been running since before sunrise—takes you straight into the neighborhoods where Cambodians eat breakfast, not the ones tourists usually see. You'll make six stops, and at each one you sit down, order, eat, and watch the food come together in front of you. Not samples. Real meals.

First stop is a local coffee shop that's been serving the same neighborhood for over 15 years. You get a bowl of savory noodle soup and a choice of local coffee—the kind that comes sweetened with condensed milk if you want it, or black if you don't. Then the tuktuk takes you to the wet market, where your guide introduces you to Sister Mao, who makes her own curry paste from herbs she sources herself. You walk through the stalls, see what's in season, and leave with a handmade souvenir the market vendors give you. It's small, but it's the kind of thing you'd never find in a shop.

Brother Salin's family-run shop comes next—a plastic chair on the street, grilled pork and rice, homemade pickles, a rich soup. Then the turmeric crepes: rice milk batter turned yellow and crispy, stuffed with pork and shrimp, wrapped by hand in lettuce and local herbs with a dipping sauce you've never had before. The tour ends at a cafe that won Cambodia's National Barista Gold Medal, and the guide can point you toward the Russian Market if you want to keep exploring after.

All the food and all the drinks are included in the price—and there's a lot of it. Hotel pickup is included too, which means you're not negotiating a tuk-tuk ride at 7am or trying to find the first stop on your own.
