A guided E-Fatbike or analog fatbike tour of Mozambique Beach and the Red River State Park in Floripa, cycling through dunes, forest trails and beach for roughly two and a half hours. The electric bikes let you cover ground and contemplate the landscape at once, with a guide sharing ecological knowledge of a protected reserve rarely visited by tourists. Photos and videos of the ride are included.

The experience

You arrive at the base at 4pm for a short training session on the bike, then roll out onto paved park streets before the trails open up. The route takes you through dunes, forest and beach around Mozambique Beach and the Red River State Park: a true ecological reservation on one of the island's most protected stretches. The guide interprets what you're moving through: the environment, the ecology, the places most visitors never reach. An E-Fatbike does the heavy lifting on sand and soft ground, so the effort drops away and you can actually look around instead of just pedaling hard.

The fatbike itself is the tool here. It's a bicycle specially designed for this terrain: wide, low-pressure tires that float over dunes and beach sand the way a regular bike never could. You choose between electric assist (which handles the soft surfaces) or analog, depending on what you want from the afternoon. Either way, the guide stays with the group, and support and rescue are on hand if needed. The whole loop takes about two and a half hours from check-in to return.

Photos and videos of the ride come with the booking. The guides speak English, Spanish or Portuguese, and children from age 8 are welcome. Public transport runs near the base if you're staying elsewhere on the island without a car.
