You're picked up from your Natal hotel and driven to Maracajaú Beach, about an hour south. The arrival point has a full support facility—pools, bathrooms, a restaurant and a bar—so you can settle in before heading out. A guide meets you there and walks you through the day. Then a modern speedboat carries you 7 km offshore to the Parrachos de Maracajaú, a journey that takes 10 to 15 minutes depending on the tide.

The reef sits under a 200-square-meter floating platform equipped with a snack bar, USB charging, WiFi and shade. You get 1 hour 45 minutes in the water with a mask and snorkel, watching the reef's fish and coral formations in water clear enough to see the bottom. The platform itself stays above water, so you can rest between swims, grab a drink or just watch the reef from the surface. If you want to go deeper, scuba diving with a cylinder is available as an optional add-on.

After the water time, the speedboat brings you back to Maracajaú Beach for lunch and a rest. If you're looking for more, quad bike rides through the dunes are also optional. The full day runs about 8 hours from pickup to drop-off. Children from age 3 can join; the operator asks that you have at least moderate fitness to handle the boat ride and time in the water.
