Step-by-step itinerary
Buggy tour and lagoon visits
- Ride buggy through dunes
- Visit Jacumã lagoon zip line
- Visit Pitanguy lagoon
- Lunch at Porto Mirim bar restaurant
The experience
You drive the buggy across Genipabu's dunes, steering through the sand yourself while the guide leads the group. After the dunes come Jacumã lagoon, where a zip line and kamikaze water slide sit ready if you want them. Then Pitanguy lagoon follows, another stop to swim or rest. The pace depends on how much time you spend at each lagoon: some riders move fast through the sand, others linger in the water.
Lunch happens at Barra Mares restaurant in Porto Mirim, where the lagoon meets the coast. The guide speaks Spanish or Portuguese and handles the route logistics. Pickup is arranged from your location, so you don't need to find your way to Genipabu on your own. The whole outing runs anywhere from a couple of hours to a full day depending on how many stops you make and how long you stay at each one.

Is this one for you?The buggy requires you to steer and operate it yourself across sand, so it suits riders comfortable with active driving rather than being driven. Children from age 3 can ride along, though the bumpy dune terrain and lagoon stops mean the experience works best for those without spinal injuries or serious heart conditions.
