The Experience

The tour starts with a motor boat transfer from Maun Airport into the Okavango Delta, then a mokoro ride to Chief's Island where your guide and camp staff meet you. The first afternoon might bring a sunset cruise depending on arrival time; the guide decides what the light and the animals allow. You sleep in a Meru-style tent, and a chef cooks all meals at camp.

Days two and three stay in the Delta on mokoro and on foot, waking before dawn for boat rides through reed-fringed waters and grasslands where game viewing can feel like stepping into a wildlife documentary. Mornings bring tea or coffee before the water, then breakfast back at camp. You rest during the heat of midday, return for lunch, siesta again, then head out for the afternoon game drive before sunset. The rhythm repeats across Moremi Game Reserve (two nights), Khwai Concession (two nights) and Savuti (two nights), each reserve offering different animals—roan and sable antelope in Khwai, large predators in Savuti. The drive to Chobe National Park covers about 142 kilometers as a game drive itself, with a picnic lunch on the way.

Chobe gets two full days of exploration before the final morning brings breakfast, a short game drive and a transfer to Kasane International Airport. Throughout the 11 days, your guide leads all activities and decides when to move camps based on wildlife patterns and weather.
