The Experience

You start by exploring dry caves with easy climbs that reveal the hidden structures beneath Bonaire's surface, learning how the caves formed and what the geological layers tell you about the island. Then you move into the wet cave section—you put on snorkeling gear and enter an underground pool of crystal-clear freshwater, swimming through chambers that most visitors never see. The whole experience runs two and a half hours, with a guide speaking English, French or Dutch depending on your group.

Pickup is arranged for you, so you don't coordinate transport separately. The operator provides flashlights for the dry cave section and all snorkeling equipment for the water—mask, fins, snorkel. You'll need closed shoes with good grip (no flipflops) for the climbing sections, and a towel is worth bringing since you'll be wet after the pool. The physical demands are real: climbing and swimming are the core of what you do, so the activity works best for people comfortable with both and in good cardiovascular condition.
