A 3.5-hour catamaran sail and snorkel tour in Bermuda starts at Royal Naval Dockyard with an hour sailing around the island, then 2 hours anchored in a private cove where you choose between snorkeling, paddleboarding, kayaking or relaxing on deck. The Experience
Meet your guide at Royal Naval Dockyard next to the cruise terminal and board the pink catamaran. The first hour is sailing—your captain points out landmarks and tells the history of Bermuda while you take in the water and the island's shape. Then the boat drops anchor in a secluded cove and the day opens up: you can strap on snorkel gear and wade into shallow water to see reefs thick with snappers, parrot fish and butterfly fish, or stay in deeper water and watch for turtles from the boat.
The paddleboards and kayaks are yours to use, and the shallow drop-off means you can wade as far or as little as you want. If the water is not your focus, the boat itself is comfortable—there are cookies baked fresh on board every day, unlimited rum swizzles (Bermuda's national drink, made with rum, juice, bitters and ice), and a cash bar for anything else. Bathrooms are onboard. The cove is where the real time lives: two hours to move at your own pace.
The tour runs 3.5 hours total and does not operate in heavy rain or thunder. If the weather looks uncertain, calling ahead is worth it. A beach visit is not guaranteed due to conditions. Bring a towel—they are not provided—and know that snorkeling works best if you are comfortable in the water; the tour is not recommended for non-swimmers.
