The Experience
The boat leaves San Pedro at 10 AM each day and takes you to the barrier reef in water shallow enough that you never lose your footing. The guide leads the group through vibrant coral gardens where sea turtles, eagle rays and schools of tropical fish move through the same space you're swimming in. The whole thing runs one hour, which is long enough to see the reef without the fatigue of a longer excursion—useful if you're new to snorkeling or traveling with young children.
Full snorkeling gear comes with the tour: mask, snorkel and fins. The guide is there the whole time, pointing out what's moving in the coral and keeping an eye on the group.
