The experience

The powerboat leaves Nassau and heads to Rose Island Reef, where you enter the water with snorkel gear to see the coral and fish. The second stop is Green Cay, a turtle sanctuary where you can observe the animals in their habitat. From there, the boat takes you to the private beach club on Rose Island's far east side: isolated from other establishments and accessible only to this tour. The whole outing runs four to five hours.

At the beach club, you have the choice to swim with the pigs in the shallow water, float in one of the two-person hammocks, or walk through the native plants along the shore. A grilled lunch arrives during your time there: choose a hot dog, hamburger, or veggie burger with chips. The snorkel equipment stays with you for the full day, so you can get back in the water whenever you want. If you'd rather skip the turtle stop, you can arrange that when you book.

The beach club has a bar serving tropical cocktails for purchase if you want something beyond the included meal. Bring your own towel or plan to air-dry. Towels are not provided. Infants ride free and can sit on an adult's lap, and the boat accommodates service animals.
