The experience
The custom Pirate Mini Bus picks you up and carries you through Nassau's craft beverage scene, not a generic brewery crawl, but a route built around the island's actual pirate history. You start at Rip Ty'd with a flight of craft beer and learn to play dominoes while you sip. From there the bus takes you to Graycliff, a mansion built in 1740 by Captain John Howard Graysmith, a pirate who commanded the schooner Graywolf and grew wealthy through plundering. Today it's home to the Graycliff Cigar Company, and you'll see where that history lives. The stops are spaced so you taste without rushing.
At John Waltings Distillery, which dates to the late 1700s when pirates ruled the land, you get a rum flight included in the tour: the centerpiece of the day. Then the bus heads to Arawak Cay, where you finish with a smooth glass of Sky Juice at Bougainvillea Estates. The guide is live and speaks English, and the air-conditioned vehicle means you're not walking between stops in the heat. Water is provided. The whole thing runs three hours, which is long enough to taste and talk without the day dissolving into one blurred bar.
You'll need to be 18 or older. Local food can be purchased at the stops if you want to eat, though meals aren't part of the package. Bring sun protection and a sense of humor. The pirate theme is woven through the whole experience, and the guide leans into it.

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What exactly is a rum flight at John Waltings Distillery?
A rum flight is a tasting of several different rums in small pours, so you sample the range of what the distillery makes in one sitting. John Waltings includes this flight in the tour price.
Is Graycliff just a cigar shop, or is there more to see there?
Graycliff is a historic mansion built in 1740 by pirate captain John Howard Graysmith, and the building itself is part of the stop. The Cigar Company operates inside it, but you're visiting the site for its pirate history and the structure, not just to buy cigars.
How does the bus get between the four stops?
The custom Pirate Mini Bus is air-conditioned and private to the group, so you ride between each landmark without walking or waiting for public transport. The bus is part of what you're paying for.
Can I eat lunch during the tour?
Lunch is not included, but you can purchase local food at the stops along the way if you want to eat. The tour is built around tasting, not dining.
