The experience

The day starts with a pickup from your Baku address at 8am and a drive to Qabala. At 10:30 you pause for Samovar tea and local baklava, then continue to Nohurgol lake for a short break before arriving at Savalan around noon. The vineyards sit in a valley fed by water from the great Caucasus Mountains, and the grapes grown here are handled and transformed into wine each year by the winery's team.

Once at the winery, you enter the wine cellar and museum, then taste Savalan wines with snacks. The tasting runs until around 2:15pm, when you finish at the winery and sit down for a local lunch. You leave Savalan at 3:30pm and arrive back in Baku by 7pm. Is this one for you?The full day (pickup at 8am, return by 7pm) suits travelers who want to spend an afternoon in the vineyards without cutting into evening plans in the city. If you need a shorter outing or have a late flight, a half-day option would not fit this schedule.
