From there you pass through Getreidegasse, Salzburg's most famous street, which leads to the University Church: a historic building no longer in active use, so the group can step inside. The route covers roughly 90 minutes on foot, moving through the city's layers of history without rushing.

You'll stand in front of the Concert Hall, where the Salzburg Festival (the world's most prestigious classical music festival) takes place each summer over six weeks. At St. Peter's Abbey, founded in 696 and the oldest monastery in the German-speaking region, you'll visit the monastery yard and hear its story, though the active church itself stays off-limits.
