Apple Strudel & Pretzel Cooking Class in Salzburg: Make & Eat
You cook the dessert yourself, not watch someone else make it.
A hands-on cooking class in Salzburg where you make apple strudel and Salzburg pretzels under a chef's guidance, then eat them with goulash and listen to live classical music. All ingredients and tools are provided; the class runs 2 hours and welcomes children from age 7. English-speaking guide included.
The Experience
Two hours, small group, all ingredients waiting on the counter. You're not sitting in a theater watching a demonstration—you're at the stove with your hands in the dough. An experienced chef walks you through making Salzburger pretzels and apple strudel step by step, correcting technique as you work. The kitchen is set up to be relaxed, not rushed, and the group stays small enough that the chef can actually see what you're doing.
Once the cooking is done, you move to the table. The food you made—the strudel, the pretzels—comes out alongside a bowl of goulash. A soprano performs live, pulling from Mozart and The Sound of Music. This is not a concert you attend; it's the soundtrack to the meal you built.
All the ingredients and utensils are there when you arrive, so there's nothing to source or prep beforehand. The class is wheelchair accessible, and children from age 7 can join as long as an adult is with them. Public transportation stops nearby if you're coming from elsewhere in Salzburg.

Is this one for you?Book this if you want to actually cook, not watch—the small group and hands-on setup mean you're at the stove the whole time, not standing in the back of a room. The meal and live music at the end make it a full evening, not just a class that ends when the timer goes off.
