The experience
Turner Stillhouse sits in Launceston, and the tour starts at the Cellar Door where your guide meets you and takes you straight onto the production floor. You'll see exactly where the Three Cuts Gin, Vodka and Rosevears Whiskies are made (the equipment, the process, the whole operation) rather than watching it from behind glass or on a screen. The guide walks you through each step of distilling, so you understand what goes into the spirits before you taste them.
After the floor tour, you move into the tasting room for a guided run through all the core spirits. The guide explains what's in each one and how to actually enjoy it, not just what it tastes like, but why. You're tasting award-winning products made on-site, and the guide's job is to show you what you're tasting and why it matters. The whole experience runs about an hour from start to finish.
Once the formal tour and tasting wrap up, you can stay and order one of their signature cocktails or a cheese box if you want to linger. The space is wheelchair accessible, and children from age 5 can join the tour. Infants and small children can come in a pram or stroller. Service animals are welcome.
