The experience

Tamborine Mountain sits an hour inland from the Gold Coast, and this tour builds a day around the producers who work there. You start with a coffee plantation tour where you learn to pour a proper brew, then move through Gallery Walk (the mountain's arts and crafts hub) before a guided walk takes you into the eucalyptus rainforest to a waterfall. The guide points out the flora and fauna as you go, and you get time to photograph the falls.

Lunch lands at a local restaurant with wine, beer or juice, followed by a 30-minute wine tasting. The final stop is Tamborine Mountain Distillery for a talk and tasting of the region's artisan spirits. Throughout the day the guide shares stories of local people, the region's history, and their own favourite spots on the mountain. You'll also have time to browse and buy handmade art and crafts at Gallery Walk.
