The experience

The tour starts with pickup from your selected Gold Coast location and heads inland toward the hinterland. Once at Lamington National Park, you walk the treetop canopy walk at O'Reilly's, moving through the world's largest subtropical rainforest at elevation. The guide shares the property's history, including the story of the Stinson plane crash and a replica of the aircraft on display.

At O'Reilly's, you hand-feed wild Australian King Parrots and Crimson Rosellas using the bird feed provided: the parrots land on your hand and eat directly. From Kamarun Lookout, you see panoramic views across the Scenic Rim from 1,000 metres elevation. The final stop is O'Reilly's own Canungra Valley Vineyard, set by a mountain stream on the same property as the Mountain View Alpaca Farm. You receive a complimentary glass of their sparkling wine. Lunch is available for purchase if you want to stay longer.

The tour operates with a live English-speaking guide and includes light snacks and refreshments throughout the day. Pickup is arranged directly with the operator.
