The Experience
Port pickup happens at either Circular Quay or White Bay, and the tour starts in the Rocks precinct with a stop at Sydney Observatory for views across the city. You'll stand under Sydney Harbour Bridge and walk the waterfront with the Opera House in the background, then drive along historical George Street past the Queen Victoria Building and Town Hall. The route crosses through the city via Elizabeth and Macquarie streets, passing St Mary's Cathedral on the way to the Royal Botanic Gardens, where a brief stop lets you take in the gardens before heading toward the eastern suburbs.
The minivan passes through Woolloomooloo and Kings Cross into some of the most expensive neighbourhoods in Australia—Rushcutters Bay, Darling Point, Double Bay, Point Piper, Rose Bay and Vaucluse—where the guide points out celebrity hot-spots and homes. Then you head out to Watsons Bay to walk along the clifftops of the Gap, the opening where Sydney Harbour meets the Pacific Ocean. On the return to the city, the tour stops at Bondi Beach, the country's most iconic stretch of sand, where you can step out and see the surfers, swimmers and lifeguards.
The whole route is covered in an air-conditioned minivan, so you move between stops without navigating the city yourself. Children from age 3 are welcome, and infants can sit on an adult's lap or ride in a pram. The tour is timed to fit cruise ship schedules, so you know exactly when you'll be back at the port.

What do I actually see when we stop at Watsons Bay?
Watsons Bay is where you walk along the clifftops of the Gap, the dramatic opening where Sydney Harbour meets the Pacific Ocean. It's a short walk with views out to sea rather than a beach stop.
How much time do we spend at Bondi Beach?
Bondi Beach is a stop on the way back to the port, so you have time to step out and see the beach and the swimmers and surfers, but not an extended swim or meal.
Does the tour include entry to any attractions?
The tour is sightseeing by minivan with stops to step out and look around—the Rocks, the Botanic Gardens, Watsons Bay and Bondi Beach. There are no paid admissions to museums or gardens included.
What happens if my ship is delayed or I'm late getting back to the port?
At the time of booking, you provide your ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time, so the tour is timed to get you back before the ship leaves. Let the operator know immediately if your disembarkation is delayed.
Is food or water included during the 4 hours?
The tour includes transport and live commentary but not food or drinks, so bring water or plan to buy something at one of the stops if you want refreshment.
