The experience
The helicopter is equipped with full glass doors on both sides, air-conditioned cabin, Bose headset systems and custom interiors. Your guide provides live commentary throughout the flight in English. The entire experience runs 45 minutes from arrival to departure, with roughly 25 minutes of actual flight time and 30 minutes inside the aircraft.
You'll climb to 1000 feet heading east, passing Mount Gravatt's lookout before turning west over Queensland's largest university. The route then makes two complete orbits of the city starting from South Bank, flying anticlockwise around the CBD and passing Kangaroo Point Cliffs. You'll stay west of the Story Bridge as you pass the Meriton Tower, then swing over Roma Street Parkland where the helicopter reverses direction to repeat the orbit in the opposite direction. The flight continues north past South Bank and the Brisbane Convention Centre, then heads toward Mount Coot-tha, flying past the TV towers and the lookout at 1500 feet before turning eastbound past Walter Taylor Bridge.
Free parking is included for the entire duration. The minimum age is 3 years. Passengers weighing over 130kg are not permitted due to aircraft weight and balance. Brisbane's CBD sits inside controlled airspace, so occasionally (due to rescue helicopters or other traffic) the flight may not gain clearance to enter the city. In those cases you'll fly around South Bank and spend extra time around Mount Coot-tha and the surrounding mountains, but you'll still receive the full flight time.
Is this one for you?At 45 minutes total, this tour fits easily into a morning or afternoon without consuming your whole day, leaving time for other Brisbane attractions before or after. The private booking means you control the departure time and share the helicopter only with your own group.

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the difference between the 25 minutes and the 45 minutes mentioned?
The 25 minutes is actual flight time in the air. The 45 minutes is the total time you spend at the facility, including the 30 minutes you're inside the aircraft for safety briefing, boarding and landing.
What happens if the helicopter can't get clearance to fly over the Brisbane CBD?
Brisbane's CBD is inside controlled airspace and sometimes rescue helicopters or other traffic prevent entry. When that occurs, the helicopter flies around South Bank instead and spends the extra time over Mount Coot-tha and the surrounding mountains, so you still get the full 25 minutes of flight time.
Can I bring a child on this helicopter tour?
Children are welcome from age 3 onward. The aircraft has a weight and balance limit, so passengers weighing over 130kg cannot fly.
What landmarks will I see from the helicopter?
You'll pass the Story Bridge, Kangaroo Point Cliffs, Mount Coot-tha, Roma Street Parkland, the Brisbane River, South Bank and the Brisbane Convention Centre. The route makes two complete orbits of the city at 1000 feet, then climbs to 1500 feet as you approach Mount Coot-tha.
Is there parking at the helicopter departure point?
Free parking is included for the entire duration of your experience, so you can leave your car for the full 45 minutes without additional cost.
