You drive your own 4WD through some of the southern hemisphere's largest mobile sand dunes, following a guide who knows the terrain and the rules. The tour stays in the Worimi Conservation Lands and along Stockton Beach, where the dunes shift constantly and the scale makes most vehicles look small. An experienced guide leads the way in a 7-seater air-conditioned vehicle, setting the pace and choosing the route so you can focus on handling the sand without second-guessing the track.

The three-hour loop takes you past Birubi and through sections of beach and dune that change with the seasons. Your guide handles the navigation and timing; you handle the driving. It's not a passive ride—you're at the controls the whole time, which is what separates this from a standard tour. Groups of any size are welcome, though each vehicle needs its own driver and its own Worimi permit.

Before you book, confirm your 4WD model with the operator and plan to pick up your beach permit at the BP station on Gan Gan Road in Anna Bay.
