The experience

After a brief training session on the Segway itself, you'll ride through the forts area, passing the National ANZAC Centre on your way up to Convoy Lookout, where the views open across King George Sound. The route then weaves up the Avenue of Honour for a stop at the Apex lookout overlooking Binalup and Middleton Beach. You're moving under your own power but on a guided path, so the pace stays steady and the guide can point out what matters as you go.

The landscape shifts between sealed paths and timber walkways, and the guide will show you where to spot King Skinks, Bandicoots and local birdlife. If you're there between May and November, watch for whales in the harbour below. The whole route stays on established trails and lookout points, so you're not venturing into rough terrain. The Segway handles the ground and you handle the steering.

What’s included

  • A local guide leading the entire route.
  • Segway rental with helmet and vest.
  • safety training before the tour starts.
  • a bottle of water.
  • a rain poncho if needed.
