The experience
The tour covers the spread-out sights around Broome in a single two-hour loop: you'll ride through Chinatown to learn the town's history as a pearling port, pass Pearlers Row and Streeter's Jetty, climb Kendall Hill for 360-degree views, then head to Cable Beach. The famous stretch where most visitors spend their time. The route also takes in Simpson Beach, the port, Roebuck Bay and Ganthiume Point, where 30-million-year-old rock formations rise from the shore.
You ride on a trike, a three-wheeled open-air vehicle, with a live guide who provides commentary throughout. Helmets and safety glass are supplied and required. Bring a camera, personal water and a sense of humor. The operator has been running this tour since 1999 and won the Travelers' Choice award in 2024. Children from age two can ride. Infants and small children can travel in a pram or stroller, and specialized infant seats are available if needed. All surfaces and vehicles are wheelchair accessible.
