The experience
The core of the program is 20 hours of group classes across the five days, taught by experienced instructors who build your confidence in reading, writing, speaking and understanding Spanish. Classes are dynamic and interactive, designed around real-life situations rather than textbook drills alone. You'll work alongside other learners at your level, which means you practice conversation with peers who are at the same stage and share similar goals. The academy takes time to understand each student before the first class starts: your prior language experience, any other languages you speak, and what you want to get out of the course all shape where you're placed.
Every student except complete beginners completes a placement assessment before day one. The Academic Director uses this to evaluate your current level, your learning style, and any specific gaps you want to close. That assessment is what keeps the group cohesive and the lessons productive instead of leaving you either bored or lost. The personalized approach starts before you walk in the door.
Tango classes are woven into the week, giving you a break from grammar and vocabulary while you learn one of Buenos Aires' defining cultural practices. Coffee and tea are provided throughout, and the registration fee is already included in what you pay: no hidden costs when you show up. The academy is wheelchair accessible, all surfaces are level, and public transportation options run nearby if you need them.
