The experience

The boat leaves Vlore and heads toward Haxhi Ali Cave, a journey of about 40 minutes along the coast. You'll pass dramatic cliffs and rock formations visible only from the water. Once at the cave, you have 30 minutes to dive, snorkel, and swim inside. The guide explains what you're seeing as you explore the natural rock formations and the cave's untouched interior.

After the cave, the tour stops at St. Jani Beach, known for its clear blue water and a view of the Karaburun Peninsula's old military installations: bunkers and underground tunnels built during the communist era, still visible on the hillside above the shore. The third stop is a pebble beach also on the peninsula, where you can swim and snorkel again in the same crystal-clear water. The whole outing runs 3 to 4 hours from start to finish.

Snorkeling equipment, bottled water, and either beer or soft drinks come with the tour. Your guide speaks English or Italian. The boat is yours alone, no other groups join you, so the pace and the stops are set by what you want to do.
