The Experience

The pool exists because thousands of years of erosion carved a deep basin right at the falls' edge, but what makes it swimmable is the rock ledge on the lip itself—the water there is only a few centimeters deep, creating a natural barrier. You stand on that ledge, jump into the deep pool behind it, and swim while the roar of Victoria Falls surrounds you. The ledge is what keeps you from being pulled over; without it, the pool would be impassable.

The morning starts with breakfast before you enter the water, then you spend the time in and around Devil's Pool with a guide who knows the site and speaks English. The activity runs about two hours total. Pickup is included, and children from age 5 can join. The site is wheelchair accessible, and all surfaces and areas are designed to accommodate different mobility needs.
