Devil's Pool Livingstone Island: Swim at the waterfall's edge
Swim to the lip of the world's largest waterfall curtain
Devil's Pool is a natural infinity pool on Livingstone Island where swimmers wade into the Zambezi River and float at the edge of Victoria Falls, guided throughout and with snacks provided. The activity runs during the drier months from mid-August through mid-January, when water levels drop low enough to make the pool accessible. A live guide stays with you the entire time, and pickup is included.

The experience
Devil's Pool sits just a short swim from Livingstone Island in the Zambezi River, positioned at the brim of Victoria Falls: the largest curtain of falling water on earth. You wade in, swim the short distance, and float at the edge while the falls roar beside you. The guides are with you at every step, offering a hand when you need one, pointing out details, and capturing photos to take home. What sounds like an extreme stunt is completely safe. The guided tours to Livingstone Island carry a 100% safety record.
The activity lasts around two hours and includes snacks. You'll need to be at least 15 years old to participate. The pool is only open during the drier months, mid-August through mid-January, when the Zambezi's water level drops enough to make the pool swimmable. Outside those months, the water is too high and the current too strong.
