The experience
The red route circles Llandudno and Conwy with 11 stops, starting and ending at Llandudno Pier. You board an open-top double-decker bus and listen to recorded audio commentary through free headphones as it passes Trinity Square, the seafront at Glan y Mor Road, Conwy Road, and the West Shore. The full loop runs 60 minutes, but you can step off at any stop, spend as long as you want there, and catch the next bus when you're ready. During peak season (late May and mid-July through August) buses leave every 20 minutes; mid-season departures run every 30 minutes; in low season (October through early November) they go hourly.
The 48-hour all-routes ticket adds two more experiences. The Great Orme Explorer is a separate panoramic tour that circles the Great Orme headland, stopping at the Great Orme Mines and the summit for photo opportunities. This route also runs on a 60-minute loop with its own schedule: every 30 minutes in peak season, hourly in mid and low seasons. The Alice in Llandudno service brings Lewis Carroll's world to life with an interactive hop-on hop-off route featuring riddles, games and surprises at seven stops including Gloddaeth Street, West Shore and the Retail Park on Mostyn Broadway.
Your ticket is valid for 12 months from the date you select at checkout, so you can use it on a future visit if plans change. Vouchers come as mobile or printed versions and must be redeemed at Stop 1 on whichever route you board first. The buses are wheelchair accessible, and dogs in carriers are welcome on board. Children can ride in prams or strollers, and the service suits all fitness levels since you control how much walking you do at each stop.
