The experience
You start at 7 a.m. from your hotel in Mui Ne or Phan Thiet and ride 100 km along beach roads and 50 km through rice fields to reach Vinh Hy Bay. On the way, the guide stops at a local grape garden so you can see how farmers work, then takes you to a Cham village where potters still make ceramics by hand. After coffee and a short rest, you walk to a hidden waterfall tucked into the jungle and swim in natural rock pools surrounded by forest.
Once you reach Vinh Hy Bay, a private glass-bottom boat picks you up at the harbor and takes you to the snorkeling and fishing spots. The water is clear enough to see vibrant coral reefs and the fish moving through them. You spend the rest of the afternoon in the water with your snorkel gear, then head back to Mui Ne by late evening. The guide handles all the logistics: entrance fees to the pottery village, waterfall and boat are already covered, and lunch with local food is included.
