Phu Quoc Sunset Cruise: Water Sports, Dinner & Live Music
Spend an afternoon on the water doing things you can't do on land, then watch the sun drop while a musician plays.
A full-day cruise on Phu Quoc's Nautilus, Vietnam's first floating entertainment complex, combines water sports, underwater seabed walking, swimming and snorkeling with dinner and live music as the boat sails at sunset. Pickup from Northern Island or Duong Dong is included, along with round-trip transport, all meals, an English-speaking guide, and a 200,000 VND onboard voucher. The day runs about six to seven hours, from early afternoon pickup through evening return.
Step-by-step itinerary
Phu Quoc Fullday Nautilus Cruise
- Pickup guests in Northern Island area
- Pickup guests in Duong Dong area
- Board cruise and receive voucher
- Canoe transfer to cruise
- Participate in water sports and snorkeling
- Enjoy sailing dinner and sunset music
- Cruise returns to port
The Experience
The day starts with a shuttle pickup from either the Northern Island area at 12:30 or Duong Dong at 13:30, depending on where you're staying. A canoe meets you at the port around 14:10 and ferries you out to the Cruise itself — a purpose-built floating complex designed to hold activities that a traditional boat can't. Once onboard, you get a 200,000 VND voucher to spend on food or drinks as you move through the afternoon.
From 14:30 to 16:30, you're free to move between activities: walk on the seabed in shallow water, try water sports, swim, snorkel, or eat and drink at the onboard restaurants. An English-speaking guide is there if you want direction, but the setup lets you pick what appeals to you. The underwater walking is the signature moment — you descend in a helmet and walk along the bottom while fish pass by, and the cruise records it all so you leave with footage and photos.
At 16:30 the boat sets sail and dinner service begins. As you move through the meal, the sun drops toward the horizon. A live musician — saxophone one week, violin the next — plays on deck, and the soothing background is part of the design. By 19:00 the cruise returns to port and the day ends.

What exactly is underwater walking, and is it safe if I've never done it before?
Underwater walking on the Nautilus happens in shallow water where you descend in a weighted helmet and walk along the seabed while breathing normally through an air supply. The cruise handles all equipment and instruction, and it's designed for first-timers — no diving certification or prior experience is needed. The guide is there to help you stay comfortable, and the whole experience is recorded so you get the footage afterward.
Can I do water sports and snorkeling on the same afternoon, or do I have to choose?
The Nautilus gives you two hours on the water (14:30 to 16:30) to move between activities at your own pace. You can try water sports, snorkel, swim, eat, or mix them however you want — there's no schedule forcing you into one thing. The guide can suggest what fits the time, but the afternoon is built around choice.
What's included in the 200,000 VND voucher, and what costs extra?
The voucher covers food and drinks at the onboard restaurants during the afternoon activities. Dinner is included separately as part of the package, so the voucher is extra spending money. Tips and personal expenses beyond food and drink aren't covered.
Is the live music the same every week, or does it change?
The Nautilus rotates between a saxophone player and a violinist each week, so the musical style changes. Both play during the sunset sail as part of dinner service, and the choice of instrument varies depending on when you book.
How long is the boat ride from the port to the Cruise, and what if I get seasick?
The canoe transfer from port to the Cruise takes about 20 minutes. If you're prone to seasickness, the afternoon activities on the Cruise itself happen in calm onboard conditions, and dinner service is steady. The boat is designed as a floating complex, so most of your time is spent stationary on the water rather than moving.
Do I need to bring anything, or is everything provided for water sports and snorkeling?
The Nautilus provides all equipment for water sports, snorkeling, and underwater walking. Bring a towel, sunscreen, and a change of clothes if you want to stay dry between activities. Swimwear is essential, and the cruise has changing areas onboard.
