Kayak through Lan Ha Bay near Cat Ba for a full day exploring hidden lagoons, limestone caves and quiet beaches in a double kayak with a guide. The boat picks you up from your hotel, takes you through the floating fishing village for 2–2.5 hours, serves lunch on board with traditional Vietnamese dishes, then moves to Ba Trai Dao in the north for a second paddling session in a self-contained area. The Experience

What makes Lan Ha Bay different from the crowded Ha Long Bay tours is the kayak itself—you're not watching limestone cliffs from a boat deck, you're paddling into them. The day starts with hotel pickup and a ride on a junk boat through the floating fishing village, where you'll spend 2–2.5 hours watching the daily work and life on the water before you ever touch a paddle. That boat ride is the setup: it takes you to the center of the bay and shows you the scale of what you're about to move through on your own.

After lunch—prepared by the crew with traditional Vietnamese dishes, an hour on board with 10–15 minutes to rest—the boat moves north to Ba Trai Dao, a completely quiet area where the real paddling happens.
