The experience

The tour starts with a 7:30 am pickup at your hotel, followed by a stop at Green Riders House to get fitted with a helmet, knee and elbow pads, and rain gear. By 9 am you're riding into the Ngoc Con valley to hike up Mount Angel Eye: a mountain with a 50-meter hole running straight through it, sitting in the heart of a UNESCO Geopark landscape of limestone peaks and rice fields. After lunch in Trung Khanh, you ride through Phong Nam Valley past farmers and grazing buffalo, then hike to a viewpoint overlooking the valley and the Chinese border. By late afternoon you reach Truc Lam Buddhist Temple on Phia Nham mountain for panoramic views before heading to your homestay for dinner and the night.

Day two starts after breakfast with a visit to Nguom Ngao Cave, also called Tiger Cave, where stalactites form shapes of coral reefs, ships, and lotus flowers across multiple limestone chambers. Around 10 am you ride to Ban Gioc waterfall, the 4th largest transnational waterfall on earth shared by Vietnam and China, and take a raft out to experience it up close. After lunch you visit three working craft villages: Phuc Sen, where blacksmiths forge knives and tools using traditional techniques and recycled steel; Dia Tren, where the Nung An people make paper from tree bark using methods passed down through generations; and Phia Thap, where incense sticks are produced from natural materials and dried on the roadsides. The tour ends with a drop-off at your Cao Bang hotel.

The motorbike itself is included, along with all protective gear, petrol, bottled water, breakfast, dinner, and travel insurance up to VND 30 million per case. Your guide speaks English and has been booked at least two days in advance.
